Such as $1250 for failure to signal. Delegate Albo is a traffic lawyer and the sponsor/writer of a bill that imposes heavy fines for silly traffic infractions. Is this the most clearly corrupt thing ever?

First of all consider where you have this question posted, Law and Ethics. These two concepts are diametrically opposed to one another. Mans Law is corrupt.
That’s ridiculous! $1250 for failing to signal! What is this world comming to?
They do it in other countries and it honestly DOES reduce the number of traffic accidents, especially fatal ones.
If you start with the small things, people don’t get lazy about driving, and are much safer overall.
I hate driving in the US because so many people are incredibly disrespectful and insane drivers! Virginia is pretty bad but they need to impose those fines in Maryland- some of the worst drivers ever! (Marylanders, don’t take too much offense, many of my friends live there- I just wont ride with them!!!)
no its big buisness
see the proposer is entitled to his reward for the extra revinue he raises
its often enacted , with new taxes ,alcohol ,cigarettes for egsample
but regardless evey disease has its cure ,its costs and its benifits and benificiants [proffiters and victims ]
NOthing corrupt about it. It won’t affect anyone at all unless the traffic laws are broken. Best way to avoid the new penalties is to obey the laws….seems reasonable to me.
I’ve managed it….have been driving since I was 16 and I’m almost 67 now…. never had a ticket….. I was stopped once by an officer who told me my brake light wasn’t working….but that’s it.
I have traveled all over the world, driven in most countries – on both sides of the road – in both sides of the car…Have driven throughout the U.S. and take at least 2 extended road trips a year….. Never a ticket.
You can do it tooooo….then the new law won’t seem unreasonable to you.
